Flight 2: Blewitt Busts One

$1,650 No Limit Hold’em WPT Championship

Level 8: 300/600/75

Vitor Coelho led out for 2,500 on a flop of 8c6d2s and was raised by the player to his left to 7,800. Kevin Blewitt (pictured) cold-called the 7,800 from late position and Coelho folded his hand.

The turn is the 9s and now the raiser moves all in for his last 9,775, which sends Blewitt into the tank. After a minute or so, Blewitt tosses two 5,000 denomination chips into the middle and gets his change as the cards are turned over.

Blewitt is in the lead with his Tc8s, good for top pair, against his opponent’s 7h7s. The river was the 3h and Blewitt scooped the pot.

“My gut said he was on a draw,” said Blewitt as he dragged the pot.

Blewitt crosses the 100,000 chip mark with that pot.
