The players came out in huge numbers for the 2022 WPT Tampa schedule opening event. It drew 4,363 entries over six starting flights, turning a $1,000,000 guarantee into a prize pool worth $2,268,760.

The last 10% of each field advanced to Day 2 with 439 players putting a bag together. Eight of them did it twice in the best-stack-forward structure and will receive a min-cash for their smallest bag today while playing their biggest.

Jack Rush took the lead in Flight E and returns today as the only player with more than one million in his stack. He has some tough players not far behind including 2019 Tampa Poker Classic Main Event champ Matthew Leecy and 2021 Pinktober Poker Open winner Ken O’Donnell.

They return with 23:26 remaining in Level 17 and levels increase to 40 minutes with the start of Level 18.
