Day 2 of the Spring Poker Open Complete

The second day of the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open saw the final flight of the first event wrap up and two players chop up the $210 Pot Limit Omaha event.

When the day began, 113 players came in at 11 am to play in the third and final flight of the opening event of the series, a $560 No Limit Hold’em event with a $100,000 guaranteed prizepool. The first two flights were played on Friday and 136 players showed up over the flights, making the total field size for the event 249 and generated a prizepool of $124,500.

Of the 113 players, only 18 players survived 14 hours of play, leaving 41 players who will come back on Sunday morning at 10 am to play down to a winner.

41 players will show up, but only 24 will earn a payday. A min-cash is worth $1,033, but everybody will have their eyes on the top prize of $34,911.

The second event of the series got cards in the air at 7 pm. 44 players showed up for the $210 Pot Limit Omaha event. After 16 levels of play, 44 players had been slimmed down to just two.

Pete Walsworth and Christy Pham chopped the tournament and each took home $2,502 when they got to heads-up play. They decided to go all in blind and flip for the Main Event tournament voucher that goes with winning the tournament. Walsworth won the flip and will have an entry into the $1,650 Main Event that takes place at the end of next week.

Here are a look at the results of the $210 Pot Limit Omaha:

1. Pete Walsworth – $2,502 and Main Event Seat
2. Christy Pham – $2,502
3. Jim Hagan – $1,232
4. Mike Tadlock – $847
5. Victor Pineiro – $616
