Winter Poker Open Championship trophy

After three starting flights of work in the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open Championship, it’s time to whittle down the last 110 players to find our next champion.

The Championship crushed all expectations and only 110 players remain of the 489 entries with a chance to take home the glory. Our players turned a $300,000 Guarantee into a prize pool worth $733,500 with some big money up top for our next big winner.

Joey Alegria returns with the chip lead but it’s still anybody’s game with some big names behind him including John Racener, Brett Bader, Zo Karim, WPT Champ Ryan Van Sanford, and Seminole Hard Rock team member Michael Laake all coming back with big stacks.

Of the 110 returning to the poker room for Day 2, only 45 will earn a piece of the huge prize pool but the last two players are set to add at least six digits to their bankroll.

Play is set to get back underway at noon and we will have all the action from start to finish. Before the night is through, we will crown the next Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open Champion.
