AJ “Doc” Santos is one of the more recognizable characters in the poker room on any day. He often can be found firing away in various tournaments but usually seen playing the higher stakes Pot Limit Omaha cash games.

We ran into Santos at the start of the day and he wasn’t his usual effervescent self, seemed a little wiped out. He explained about a juicy game going into the wee hours of the morning that he couldn’t leave.

The lack of rest doesn’t seem to be having a negative impact today, even has he takes the occasional nod in between long hands, and currently sits with the second biggest stack in the room at 83,500. Aldo Truong increased his lead and hit the break with 86,500.
