Event 1 winner Brett Streicher (Odessa, FL) and runner-up Andre Lomans (Orlando, FL) are on the same table. Streicher overcame a big chip deficit in the opening event of the Seminole Hard Rock Summer Poker Open to win $74,000, while Lomans settled for $44,187.

Meanwhile, Barry Wiedemann (Orlando, FL), who won the WPT Regional here last summer for $88,000, decides to gamble before re-entry ends.

Wiedemann says he was down to 13k and raised without looking against Mike Monaco who bumps it to 3k, After sneaking a peek at his cards, Wiedemann moves all in and Monaco calls.

Championship Event Satellite

The $500,000 Guaranteed Event 7 didn’t work out for Amie Martini (Tampa, FL), but she’s loving her consolation prizes.

“Both times I busted at 3 o’clock,” says Martini moments after winning her second satellite seat into the Championship Event.

Martini played in the 11 am flights Friday and Saturday and busted both times just as the 3 pm Mega satellite kicked off. She jumped into the event and earned back-to-back satellite wins.

Martini and Lou O’Jeda (Miami, FL) are the last two players standing in today’s satty, earning tickets into the $3,500 Championship (June 12-18).
