The first break of Flight E came around and players took a little time to themselves. Grab some grub from the snack bar, drink from the bar, or bet at one of the sports kiosks. The entry count is up to 1,232 for the entire tournament and the prize pool is now over $400,000 with more than two hours to build it up.

Five flights for WPO Event 1 are in the books and we have one more to go with Flight F starting at 11 am. The $400 buy-in tournament already surpassed its $200,000 guarantee and the prize pool sits at $312,180 with a big day to run it up.

Players start with 30K stacks and the first 19 levels last 30 minutes before increasing to 40. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm.

Flight F will play down to the last 12.5% of the field and survivors will return for Day 2 tomorrow at 11 am in the money.

Flight E of WPO Event 1 ended with 32 players advancing and Zak Taylor was the biggest bag in the room when the dust settled.

He put away 594,000 with some tough opponents behind him including Khanh Truong (554,000), James Calderaro (131,000), Ryan Hogan (138,000), and John Gordon (290,000).

Players returned to their seats after the break and everyone is chasing Ryan Gunther. He leads the field with 368,000 late in the day followed by Rafael Osorio with 333,000 and Ryan Hogan with 264,000.

They will continue until 33 players remain and start the hand-for-hand process on the money bubble.

The last break of the night is coming up, it’s not scheduled that way but it’s unlikely there will be then 32 players in the game two hours later. So not technically the last break.

The last four flight ended somewhere between Levels 14 and 16 so we’ll get there pretty fast while people try to bag and get paid on Sunday.

Walking among the tables during and after break, we found Marcus Huaick looking like the biggest stack in the room with 193,000. There are a lot of players trying to chase him down, including some regular Tampa friends.
