Championship Event: Tuthill Doubles Through Ivan

$1,500 + $100 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event (Re-Entry)
Blinds: 5k/10k/1k ante

David Tuthill opened for 20K and found two callers in Dean Dowda and Alex Ivan. The flop came 8s4h2s and Tuthill bet 23K and was called by Ivan. The turn was the 4c and Tuthill bet again, this time for 40K. Ivan announced he was all in and Tuthill wasted little time in calling with pocket 10’s which was ahead of Ivan’s 9c8c. The river was the 5c and Tuthill is up to close to 400K after the hand while Ivan dips below 200K… a far cry from where he was after picking up Aces earlier against Jack McIntyre.

Championship Event: Big Race Leads To New Chip Leader

$1,500 + $100 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event (Re-Entry)
Blinds: 5k/10k/1k ante

Cord Garcia opened the pot to 25K and was re-raised by Jonathan Marlow to 100K. Garcia moved all in for 526K and Marlow made the call. Garcia showed AcKs and Marlow turned over pocket Jacks and pleaded with the dealer “Don’t do it! Don’t do it!”

She did it. AhKc5d6s9d was the run out and Garcia doubled up to approximately 1.1 million while Marlow was left with just under 100K.

Championship Event: 16th place, Jack McIntyre – $4,064

$1,500 + $100 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event (Re-Entry)
Blinds: 4k/8k/1k ante

Jack McIntyre lost the majority of his stack to Alex Ivan when the two got it all in pre-flop with Jack holding his namesake, pocket Jacks, and Ivan holding Aces. The Aces held leaving McIntyre on fumes. He would get it all in a few minutes later with Ah3h and would be called by David Tuthill who held QsJs. Tuthill would hit a flush to eliminate McIntyre, who had been among the chip leaders most of the day, in 16th place.

Championship Event: 18th place, Oscar Lindo – $4,064

$1,500 + $100 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event (Re-Entry)
Blinds: 4k/8k/1k ante

Oscar Lindo moved all in over the top of Josh Erdman’s opening raise. It was 80K total and Erdman made the call with 5’s. Lindo turned over Jacks and Erdman said “oops, wrong read”. The flop came QsTc9d keeping Lindo in the lead but the 5d on the turn would change that. Lindo still had some outs but the Ts on the river was not one of them.

Championship Event: 19th place, John Frampton – $3,386

$1,500 + $100 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event (Re-Entry)
Blinds: 4k/8k/1k ante
18 players remaining, 334k avg (42 bb)

Salameh Bahhur opened the action to 21K and John Frampton moved all in for 102K total. Bahhur thought about it for a moment before deciding to make the call with pocket Jacks. It was a good call as Frampton had 10’s. The flop sealed the deal for Salameh with a Jack and Frampton is our 19th place finisher. They have redrawn to two tables. We’ll get the new seating assignments and approximate chip counts to you shortly.

Championship Event: Back From Dinner

$1,500 + $100 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event (Re-Entry)
Blinds: 4k/8k/1k ante
19 players remaining, 317k avg (40 bb)

Players are back from dinner break and need one more elimination for a two table redraw.

We nearly had a bustout before the dinner break, but John Frampton survived his all  in with A8 suited when he hit a flush on the river against David Tuthill to stay alive.
