There’s a new sheriff emerging in the Event 1 field. While Daniel Ramirez’s stack has topped the counts for much of the day, he’s now neck-and-neck with Staffan Lind.

Less than two weeks ago, Lind finished 14th in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Championship at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood for more than $22,000. Now, here in Tampa, he’s the only player besides Ramirez to claim more than 1,000,000 chips. The pair at the top is neck-and-neck with roughly 1,270,000 (79 big blinds) apiece.

To their dismay, Lind and Ramirez grace the same table. Lind in Seat 2 while Ramirez sits firmly in Seat 10.
