The popular H.O.R.S.E. tournament returned to the Pinktober Poker Open and it drew 41 entries for a great turnout. Charles Evans took the top spot courtesy of his chip lead after a three-way deal and he earned $3,435 along with the H.O.R.S.E. title.

Event 6 players are taking another 15-minute break from the action as they inch nearer the money bubble. There are still four tables in action but it should move along over the next four levels before the dinner break.

Chuck Beitelspacher has a narrow chip lead late in the day, sitting with 318,000 at a tough table that includes James Calderaro and Eric Walling.

It’s a pretty relaxed early evening in the poker room, two tournaments (and a satellite) running and both getting short.

David Tuthill decided to up the ante a bit and run in both tournaments at the same time. He was already in the H.O.R.S.E. and late registered for Event 6. Tuthill is still in both tournaments, just now reaching the money at the H.O.R.S.E. final table and down to the last four tables in Event 6.

We had a handful of players max late reg the tournament this afternoon including current WPT Player of the Year Jake Ferro. While taking some needling from nearby Jeremy Becker, Ferro put his 40,500 to work from the small blind after a series of raises with the button.

That part wasn’t true but Ferro’s hand held on the run out for a full double.

The new week on the 2022 Pinktober Poker Open schedule had a nice $250 one-night tournament on Monday and Scott Spivak went all the way to win it outright for $7,550.

The tournament drew 145 entries to push the $20,000 guarantee into a prize pool worth $30,450 and the last 19 players earned some money.

It created a tough final table, but Spivak overcame and defeated Jerry Silva heads-up for the title. In addition to the $7,550 top prize, Spivak also won a seat in the $1,700 PPO Championship that was added to first place.
