Flight F is into the last level of the evening and they recently were combined down to three tables. We should lose a few more over the next few orbits and to get near 25.

Chris Mitchell continues to lead but Victoria Moser is running up a stack late. She was over 200,000 at the last break and spun it up over 300,000 heading into Level 14.

Players are back and ready to grind out the last hour of play. Chris Mitchell continues to lead as the only player over 300,000 but Victoria Moser is making a bid to catch him at the other side of the table.

Meanwhile, there was a bit of a high-level powwow in the middle of the room. Gathered for a brief bit were the big brains of Tournament Supervisor Josh Land, new Manager of Poker Marketing for Seminole Gaming Lukas Willems (and part-time blogger here), man/computer Kevin “Kevmath” Mathers, and #Ambassador Wally Maddah.

After some technical difficulties, the hamsters have been fed and we are back in the tournament updating business.

While we were gone, Chris Mitchell decided he wanted the Flight F chip lead and challenge Maroun Akiki for the overall lead. His table broke at the start of Level 12 and he racked up more than 325,000 for the walk down the aisle.

Akiki finished with 397,000 in Flight A and Mike Cohen came close yesterday evening with 371,000.

Mitchell has some success on property, he took down the PLO title during last February’s Deep Stack Winter Poker Series.

Event 7 Day 1F: Registration Closed; Goudy and Moser Lead

Level 9: 500/1,000/100 Ante

Bob Goudy (Orlando, FL)

Registration has closed for the final flight of Event 7 and the unofficial number is 126 entrants. That takes the combined total up to 634 total entrants and a prize pool in the neighborhood of $315,350. We will have the official numbers once the smart folks tally everything together.

Two stacks stood out as we walked the room on break. Bob Goudy’s table is the only non-cash game in his row so it wasn’t getting much attention. We started paying attention when we saw Goudy during the color up and he’s closing in on 200,000.

His 184,400 was good enough for the Level 9 lead while regular Victoria Moser isn’t far behind. When everything was added up after her color up, her 155,000 is nothing to complain about either.

Only one level left for players to get in the game for a piece of the +$300,000 prize pool. We will get a few more entrants as late comers buy-in and short stacks play fast and loose to double or bust.

One of the more successful players in the room has taken a seat in Event 7. Timothy “T.K.” Miles is a bit shy of $1.3 million in career earnings with a WSOP Circuit ring among his accomplishments. His biggest cash came here in June 2014 when he captured the Summer Poker Open Championship for $295,000.

The count keeps climbing and the field has grown over 100 while getting closer to 120 with an hour left to register.

Jeffrey Trudeau Jr. is making his first appearance this series and hoping to add to an already impressive list of accomplishments. He has cashed for nearly $200,000 in his short career with 51 tournament cashes, all but one coming in the state of Florida.

Trudeau recently turned 21 years old so he’s free to venture to games outside the state but he’s had a good start to his career.
