The parade to the payout desk has not slowed since the bubble burst and another handful made their way to the cage including Raminder Singh. The Event 6 champ was having a great start to his day but fell short of another guitar.

On the flip side, Ryan Van Sanford moved his castle up to 1,019,000 and a dangerous player with a lot of chips late in a tournament.

One of the great side stories from this series and Main Event is the large numbers of players coming from out of state to participate. We’re glad they could make the trip and enjoy the room for the first time. Some of your new friends are making their mark.

Tommy Tran of Atlanta is moving up the counts and sits with 816,000 as we get deeper into the day. Peter Walsworth is still up top with 1,300,000 but people are tracking him down.

The first break of the day quickly came around after the money bubble burst and three players were sent to pick up some cash. Players are back in their seats with three more levels lined up before another walk away from the action.

It did not take long to burst the money bubble and Peter Walsworth got it there in pretty big fashion.

One the first hand of the bubble, we caught the action at Table 44 with the board out and reading . Jonathan Marlow bet a full barrel of 5Ks chips for 100,000 from the small blind and Walsworth thought for a minute before raising it to 340,000.

Marlow four-bet shipped for 515,000 total and Walsworth called for the huge pot.

“You called?” Marlow asked. He flipped over for the second nut flush but his elation quickly evaporated when Walsworth showed for the nut flush.

Walsworth had a slightly bigger stack to send Marlow out, burst the bubble, and take a huge lead in the Main Event with 1,280,000.

Our prediction was a little off, the money bubble did hit before the first break. There was a quick spike in eliminations and tournament staff put the Main Event into hand-for-hand mode.

The clock was paused with two minutes coming off for each hand dealt until one player is eliminated.

Level 17 has arrived but the money bubble is taking it’s time getting here. There are still 91 players battling it out so, it looks like, they won’t make any money until after the break. Reigning WSOP Global Casino Champion AJ Kelsall was one of those sent out in the last level.

The Main Event field is down to 98 players to leave it only 20 eliminations away from making some money. We’ll have 78 happy players and 20 unhappy.

Raminder Singh is making an early move. He spent the last part of Flight A sitting to chip leader Jack Sumner’s left and he’s still there at the same table as Thursday. Singh, our Event 6 champion, has moved his stack up to 445,000 to content for the lead but Sumner is still at the top with 579,000.

The first 40 minutes of the day were a slow walk with only a dozen set to the rail including Tampa regs Carlos Loving and Herbert Woodbery. Loving’s exit is a bit shocking since he returned with a healthy 256,000 stack.

The WPO Main Event attracted players from around the country for a chance to play for some big money after a long layoff. That made for a tougher-than-average field with some top players.

Two of our Day 2 players have played on the biggest stage in poker so won’t feel as much pressure as most. Tony Miles and John Dolan both made a WSOP Main Event final table after getting through some huge fields.

Miles finished second out of 7,874 players in the 2018 WSOP Main Event while Dolan finished sixth out of 7,319 players at the 2010 WSOP Main Event final table.
