Championship Day 1C: Karl Manouchakian Doubles; Matthew Leecy Eliminated

$1,100 PPO Championship (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 14:  3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 ante
Flight C Players Remaining:  16 of 124

Karl Manouchakian

Two big hands were playing on the bubble and both determined the outcome of the day. On Table 21, Karl Manouchakian was all in versus Brad Williams with his QcQh looking to win a flip against AhKs.

Williams flopped top two on the AdKh5c board but Manouchakina nailed the Qd turn for a set of queens. The 6c river was safe and he doubled on the bubble.

On the other table, our defending champion Matthew Leecy was the last player to exit in the tournament on the bubble.

The last 16 players are bagging their chips with Anthony Bertuccio the biggest with 547,000. We will post the complete Day 2 seat draw as soon as it is available.

Asif Mohammed

Players returned from what is likely the last break of the day with 23 players remaining and 16 booking a seat in Day 2 tomorrow. If they make it to another break, things really slowed down.

Asif Mohammed is the new chip leader with 348,000 and he’s been at or near the top all day. Maha Ahmad is stacked up to 310,000 and Anthony Bertuccio has 261,000.

Championship Day 1C: Case Card for Jerry Silva

$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 11:  1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 ante
Flight C Players Remaining:  30 of 124

Jerry Silva

We heard a ruckus at Table 22 and got there in time to see the end of a special kind of hand.

Jerry Silva was all in for 39,500 with 6c6h against AsAh and in trouble. The first AHHHH came when Silva made a set of sixes on the 9d7h6d flop.

His opponent provided the next exclamation when he hit a two-out Ac on the turn to retake the lead with a set of aces.

But they weren’t done there. The last six in the deck was the 6s and it landed on the river for the one-out crazy double up.
