Jonathan Jaffe
What It Feels Like to Spike Quads on the Turn to Stay Alive in a WPT Event with a $3.72 Million Prizepool, Starring Jonathan Jaffe

After a flop of 9d6d2d with about 72K already in the pot, Jonathan Jaffe checked, Sumeet Wayachal bet 20,000, and Jaffe check-raised to 55,000. Wayachal reraised to 140,000, and Jaffe four-bet all in for 442,000.

Wayachal called with Qd10d for a queen-high flush, and Jaffe turned over 6s6c for a set of sixes. Jaffe needed to improve to stay alive.

The turn card was — the 6h! The table reacted with surprise as Jaffe clinched the pot with quad sixes.

The meaningless river card was the 3d, and Jaffe won the pot with his quads to double up in chips.
