Registration closed for the final flight of the WPO Championship with another 263 entries, putting the final count at 529 for the tournament, and the prize pool reached a very nice $793,500.

Flight C will continue until 33 players remain, and survivors will advance to Day 2 tomorrow at noon in the money. Players must bag chips to cash in the tournament.

Cards are back in the air after the third break and registration closed with an unofficial 263 showing on the tournament clock. We will post the count once the math is complete, a great turnout for the WPO Championship.

Karl Manouchakian continues to lead Day 1C with 318,500 followed by Rob Garcia’s 302,000. Jason Block is the third player over 300K with Michael Rossi trying to catch them with 262,500.

Championship Day 1C: Karl Manuochakian Leads

The second break ended, players are back in their seats and the clock is ticking down on this big final flight of the WPO Championship. There are 223 entries today and the prize pool is up to $733,500 with two hours left for late registration.

Karl Manouchakian is the big stack in the room after six levels, up to 235,900 and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Dan Heimiller is in second with 221,000. There’s still a lot of time to build a big bag so they’ll have to keep grinding to stay on top.

With 205 entries in today’s flight and 471 combined, the WPO Championship prize pool cruised past $700,000 with three more hours to run it up. We are quickly building this into one of biggest Championship/Main Event fields outside the big Event Center tournaments.

Championship Day 1C: Going Big

The last flight of the 2024 WPO Championship gets underway at 11 am and it will be the biggest of the three starters. The $1,700 buy-in tournament already crushed its $300,000 guarantee and the field is only one new entry away from putting the prize pool over $400,000.

But our players will push it much higher than that with late registration available until 5:45 pm.
