The entry count began to climb faster once we hit the afternoon hours, and now we can start prognosticating the guarantee mark. It won’t be today but the $200K mark should hit early tomorrow on a busy Saturday.

Championship Day 1B: Cards in the Air!

Cards are in the air for Flight B of the PPO Championship and the $1,100 buy-in field will get closer to its $200,000 guarantee. With a busy weekend expected, it should be a very nice prize pool.

Players sit with 30K stacks and all levels last 40 minutes until the tournament gets down to the last two players. Late registration is available until the start of Level 10 at 6 pm and players may refire as often as they wish during that time.

Flight B will continue until 12.5% of the field remains and players with chips at that point will bag them up and return Sunday at 11 am to play it out for the trophy.

Championship: Allan Hedin Bags the Lead

After a short pause in hand-for-hand action to color off the purple chips, James McKinnon was eliminated by Matthew Leecy on the bubble in a cooler. The shorter-stacked McKinnon flopped a pair of aces with his ace-four but Leecy was better with ace-queen.

Allan Hedin was the big stack in the latter parts of the day and bagged up 455,000 for the early leader coming back.

Registration closed for Flight A of the 2024 PPO Championship, with 82 entries, putting nearly $80,000 toward the $200,000 guarantee. We have two more flights to go with the next on Friday at 11 am.

Flight A will continue until 11 players remain and survivors will return on Sunday at 11 am to play for the title. Players must bag chips to cash in the tournament.
