Registration closed for Flight B of the 2024 PPO Championship with another 82 entries, the exact same as yesterday, for a combined total of 164 with one flight to go. Only 46 new entries are needed to surpass the $200,000 guarantee and we will get there early in the day.

Flight B will continue until 11 players remain and they will return on Sunday at 11 am for Day 2. Players must bag chips to cash in the tournament.

Players returned from the dinner break and registration closed for Flight B of the PPO Championship. The tournament clock shows 81 entries and we will report the official numbers as soon as they are available.

Tom Nguyen was the top stack at the second break and extended his lead over the next three levels. He sits big with 346,000 with Diego Uez (182,000) and Wagner Wysotchanski (181,000) in second and third positions.

They will play three more levels before the next break and it will race the money bubble to see which gets there first.

The clock is running out if you want to get it the Championship action today but have no fear, Flight C gets running tomorrow at 11 am with late reg available until 6 pm.

We are up to 77 entries in Flight B with more friends including Diego Uez, Brian Arbaugh, Clyde Maliauka, Tony March, Juan Carlos Ramirez, Ricardo Eyzaguirre, and Jerry Silva.

Uez is making a late run and looks like the leader at 210,000.

Players are back in their seats after the second break and we have a few new big stacks. Gabe Fuller dipped while Tom Nguyen moved into the top spot with 193,900. Matt Sundberg is second with 155,100 and David Nathaniel is cruising with 130,000.

We have 72 entries in today’s field and looking to match yesterday’s 82 (or better). The field is less than 60 away from surpassing the $200,000 guarantee and we should get there early tomorrow.

The entry count continues to climb, and we’ll be reaching to match yesterday’s fine start. They have contributed more than $135K toward the $200,000 guarantee, and tomorrow is a busy day.

We found the last two players standing in last year’s PPO Championship. Frank Weigel and Harry Binda Jr were heads-up for the title in 2023 and Weigel took the title outright for $60,190.

So Weigel is looking to defend his title while Binda Jr is looking to finish one spot higher this time around.

Action is back underway after the first break and we had a nice little rush while they were gone. With 47 here already, the $200,000 guarantee is virtually locked up and now it’s just a question of when it will get hit.

There was only one standout stack while they were away and it belongs to Gabe Fuller. He’s the early leader in Flight B with 119,000 with a few more chasing 100K.
