Clemen Deng Wins WPT Player of the Festival

Clemen Deng

Before the 2022 WPT Tampa series ended, Clemen Deng locked up the top spot as the WPT Player of the Festival. Four players had a shot at the title as the penultimate night was rounding down.

Clyde Maliauka was leading the race with Brock Wilson (at the Championship final table), AJ Kelsall (deep in the $5K), and Deng (in the $10K High Roller) trying to chase him down.

Deng went on to win the $10,000 High Roller Tuesday evening and locked up the title. Even with a win in the Championship, Wilson would fall short, and a $5K win by Kelsall would give him the same amount of points as Deng, but he would finish second based on tiebreakers.

Deng cashed three times during the series; in addition to the High Roller win, he also finished second in $1,700 NLH Event 17 and fifth in $2,200 Event 19.

He earned a $1,100 WPT Prime Passport and another WPT trophy.

Congrats Clemens!
