Ken Ware

With 10 players remaining and nine players advancing to Day 2, they were playing the last hand before the break when Ken Ware put his last 35,000 in the middle and Hunter Cichy had him at risk.

Cichy: 5s5d
Ware: 4s4d

Ware was in bad shape and Cichy slammed the door when he hit a set of fives on the Qs9s5c flop and Ware was drawing dead after the 8s turn.

The nine remaining players are coloring off the purple chips, bagging their stacks, and will return tomorrow to play the final table at noon.

Event 12: Brett Bader Eliminated by Kyle Cartwright on the Bubble

$2,200 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 15:  2,500/5,000 with a 5,000 ante
Players Remaining:  11 of 106

Brett Bader

With the super deep stacks and $5,510 bubble, it’s no surprise that the bubble took a long time to play out.

24 hands for us counting.

More than a full level at two minutes a hand.

The big hand came down to Kyle Cartwright putting Brett Bader all in for his last 64,500 with the board out and reading KdJh3dQdJs. He thought for several minutes with the big decision. Bader called at risk, Cartwright tabled 7d5d for a diamond flush, and Bader’s AdTs Broadway straight was second best to send him out on the bubble.

Ken O’Donnell (left) and Byron Kaverman (right)

Action folded around to Ken O’Donnell in the small blind and he moved all in for 26,100 to get a snap call from Byron Kaverman in the big.

Kaverman: AsAd
O’Donnell: 8c8s

O’Donnell was looking at a late exit but found another eight on the 8d4h3h flop. He moved ahead with a set of eights and Kaverman could not return the favor on the Qd turn or 7c river to send a double to O’Donnell.

Ken O’Donnell – 54,600 (23 bb)
Byron Kaverman – 61,500 (26 bb)
