Event 1 Flight B: Second Flight to Fly

The second of six starting flights for Pinktober Poker Open Event 1 gets underway at 6 pm. The $400 buy-in tournament drew 122 entries in the starting flight and the tournament features a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players start with 30K stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, going up to 40 at the start of Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30 pm. They will play down this evening until 10% of the field remains and those players will advance to Day 2 on Sunday.

Event 1 Flight A: Ryan Hogan Bags the Lead

It took less than a level after the break to settle the matter in Flight A, mostly thanks to Ryan Hogan. He bagged a huge lead with 626,000 coming back for Day 2 on Sunday.

Registration closed for Flight A of Pinktober Poker Open Event 1 with 122 entries putting $40,870 in the prize pool with five more flights to reach the $200,000 guarantee. Flight B gets underway this evening at 6 pm with two more flights on Thursday and one each on Friday and Saturday.

Flight A will play down this evening until the last 13 players remain and they will advance to Day 2 on Sunday in the money.

Fred Paradis

The Flight A entry count topped 100 after the first break, a great number for a Wednesday afternoon and we can expect a few more throughout the day plus Flight B at 6 pm.

A few more faces in the crowd include Fred Paradis, Ryan Hogan, Mark Wiser, and Jason Block.

The last time we saw Paradis, it was a month ago at the WPT Tampa Championship final table where he finished second for more than $400K.

Play resumed for Flight A of Event 1 with 94 entries now in the game and a huge chip leader. It wasn’t hard to find the big stack, Jim Collins had a couple barrels of 5K chips after four levels to lead the way with 218,700.

Not a bad start to his day.

They will play four more levels, take another break, and registration will close for Flight A when they return for Level 9.
