Michael Turton was on the button facing a middle-position 18,000-chip raise from fellow big stack Michael Collins. Turton called and Rodney Legendre shoved his short stack from the small blind. Collins quickly folded and Turton called just as quick.

Day 2 of the Winter Poker Open Main begins at 12pm at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa. The $1,650 buy-in tournament drew 609 entries smashing the $500,000 guarantee to the tune of a $913,500 prize pool. After three Day 1s playing 15 levels apiece, only 92 are left and they’re jockeying for one of 61 in-the-money places. A min-cash earns $3,289 while the tournament’s champion is reserved a $180,205 first prize.

Day 2 Chip Counts | Table Draws | Payouts

Bradnon Caputo beat up Day 1B and begins Sunday’s Day 2 as the overwhelming chip leader. He turned his 30,000-chip starting stack into 796,000 and is head and shoulders above the rest of the field.

Michael Collins begins the day second in the counts with 558,000 while Matthew Leecy rounds out the 500,000+ stacks with 518,000.

Others around for Day 2 include AJ Kelsall, Alex Ivan, Tom Nguyen and John Dolan.

Matthew Leecy appears to be the top Day 1C stack bagging about 450,000 chips. Others advancing on this Saturday night include Rob Manjura, Josias Santos, Tom Nguyen, Carlos Loving, Anthony Dianaty and Alex Rocha.

Main Event Day 1C is back underway following the last break of the night. Joining Mirza Nagji as a stack in excess of the 300,000 mark is poker pro Alex Rocha. Rocha is utilizing 10 stacks across the board, so it doesn’t look much. Nonetheless, he’s one of the top three chip leaders in the room with only two hours left on Day 1C.
