Event 5: David DiBernardi Flops Broadway

$565 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 12: 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 Ante
Flight D Players Remaining: 43 of 152

David DiBernardi

David DiBernardi put an exclamation point on his taking of the chip lead, flopping Broadway and sending an opponent to the rail.

The flop was QsJhTs and DiBernardi’s opponent announced, “All-in,” for more than 60,000. DiBernardi snapped having the opponent covered and quickly turned over AsKs for the nuts Broadway plus a Royal Flush draw. The opponent had a measly Ac6c pair and only had slim hopes for a chop.

The turn and river fell 9s7d and DiBernardi grew his stack to over 350,000.

David DiBernardi – 360,000

Event 5: Brian Hooser Clear Leader to Start Level 12

$565 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 12: 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 Ante
Flight D Players Remaining: 52 of 152

Brian Hooser

Brian Hooser finds himself firmly atop the counts to start Level 12. With a stack totaling just under 250,000, he’s leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of his respective Flight D field and poised to bag one of the biggest holdings of the lot. As is, that’s good for a top 10 stack overall, but there’s plenty of work left in Flight D with play slated to last until about 8:20pm.

Brian Hooser – 247,000

Event 5: Danny Lobato Runs Down Aces

$565 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 10: 600/1,200 with a 1,200 Ante
Flight D Players Remaining: 61 of 152

Danny Lobato stands for the runout with his tournament life on the line

Danny Lobato was in the cutoff all-in versus the button.

Button: AsAh
Lobato: 5d5h

Lobato stood in defeat and began to gather his things as the dealer burned and turned.

Runout: Qs5s3h8dKc

A five on the flop, a set and the button’s useless aces got Lobato to sit back. He watched as the dealer broke down his stack — roughly 31,500.

Danny Lobato – 66,000

As is, the clock shows 150 entries putting the combined field at 393 and only seven players short of the $200,000 guarantee. That figure will be bested before cards even go in the air for the 5pm Flight E and the prize pool will continue to grow.

We will provide the final attendance figure from Flight D when it’s final.

Event 5: Karl Manouchakian

$565 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 7: 300/600 with a 600 Ante
Flight D Entries: 143 (Total Entries: 386)

Karl Manouchakian

It wasn’t the win he was look for, but a win’s a win. Tampa regular Karl Manouchakian has already gotten a W this Pinktober Poker Open winning the bounty King of the Hill side event just a few days ago. The performance yielded a nice payday, but that score would pale in comparison were Manouchakian able to break through again in this $565, $200,000 guarantee.

Manouchakian owns more than $210,000 in reported earnings including three wins here in Tampa. His resume is highlighted by multiple five-figure and he has sights on adding another here in the Pinktober headliner.

He’s part of a rising Flight D field that now shows 143 entries putting the tournament just shy of the $200,000 guarantee.

Event 5: Runner-Runner Gives Antuan Bunkley the Pot

$565 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 6: 300/500 with a 500 Ante
Flight D Entries: 129 (Total Entries: 372)

Antuan Bunkley

Fresh off a final table appearance in the $250, $100,000 guaranteed prelim, Antuan Bunkley is making moves again in the $565. He recently opened a pot to 1,100 only the be three-bet to 2,500. With two players already in, he called for three-way action to the flop.

The players checked down a 9h6s2sKh flop and turn before Bunkley lead the Jd river for 9,000. There was a fold, and a reluctant call and Bunkley turned over QcTd for the best of it. He took the pot and stacked his pile higher.

Antuan Bunkley – 58,000

Event 5: Entries (and Re-Entries) at Table 8

$565 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 5: 200/400 with a 400 Ante
Flight D Entries: 124 (Total Entries: 367)

Tom Nguyen

Tom Nguyen has stacked chips in both the Thursday and Friday 10am flights, but hasn’t been able to find a bag. He’s fired a few entries at this, and hopes today’s entry in the Flight D is his last.

Nguyen shares his table with another Tampa regular, Mark “Bud” Wiser. Like Nguyen, Wiser isn’t on his first buy-in here in the $565. He’s busted each of the Thursday and Friday morning flights and looks for better luck on the weekend.
