Paul DeRosa stands after running aces into Tom Nguyen’s kings

Paul DeRosa was all in preflop and at risk against Tom Nguyen. Nguyen had the better hand, more chips and DeRosa was drawing slim with KsKc against Nguyen’s AsAh.

The runout didn’t improve DeRosa and he hit the rail with the bubble just around the corner.

Lots has changed at Table 38.

Nathan Ghodoushim, who began the day with the chip lead, claims less than 100,000. Justin Fawcett, who began the day last in the counts with 18,500, claims over 800,000.

According to the table, after chipping up considerably, Fawcett had 6c2c and played a massive pot versus the AxKc of Ghodoushim. In a raised pot, the board double paired Fawcett as the flop brought a six and the river fell a deuce. He lead for 35,000 and Ghodoushim jammed having him well covered. Fawcett picked off Ghodoushim’s ace-high bluff and doubled through the start of day chip leader.

Zoltan Czinkota, who’s third on the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year leaderboard, has nearly doubled his holdings early on Day 2. After beginning with 88,000, he claims upward of 130,000 following a recent pot.

A late position player opened for 13,000. Czinkota called from the cutoff and the button and blinds folded. The pair saw a flop.

The late position player checked. Czinkota bet 24,000 and ended up taking the pot uncontested.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year points leader David Prociak was on the button in a three-way pot versus the big blind and Mike Turton under the gun.

Action checked to Prociak and he bet 9,000. The big blind folded. Turton called and he was heads up with Prociak to fourth street.

Turn: Td

Turton checked and so did Prociak.

River: As

Turton checked a third time. Prociak bet 17,500. Turton reached into his stack and put out a raise to 50,000. Prociak verified the bet was 50,000 total. After some thought, he called. Turton turned over QhTh for queens full. Prociak mucked.

Prociak, who began the day in the top 10, now holds under 100,000 chips.

Main Event: Ambassador Maddah Eliminates Sutherland

James Sutherland was in the big blind and Seminole Hard Rock Poker Tampa ambassador Wally Maddah was under the gun. The board was dealt through the turn and it read Th4d3d2h. Sutherland was all in for 58,500 and it was on Maddah who had him covered.

“You flop a set?” Maddah thought out loud.

After a minute or so, Maddah plopped some chips in the pot for a call and Sutherland turned over KcTs for top pair. He was second best to Maddah’s QhQd overpair.

The river 5h completed the action and Maddah busted Sutherland while crossing the 300,000 mark.
