Raminder Singh took home the WPT Trophy at the conclusion of Event 6 after a four-way chop was decided upon to end play. Here is what he had to say after picking up the victory.

“The day before yesterday I made Day 2 for the million dollar guarantee, so today was a day off for me, so I ended up playing in this turbo this evening. I just tried to keep my stack and double up before the close of registration, and after that I was blessed with some good hands, some good luck, and I made some good calls as well for all my chips for my tournament life. Overall it was a great experience,” said Singh.

“Absolutely, I want to carry forward this good karma and momentum into Day 2, because I have won that tournament down south (at Hard Rock Seminole Hollywood), that $600 buy-in $1 million. The real reward will come at the final two-three tables, and that is where the real competition and real money is,” said Singh when he was asked about getting ready for another deep run in Event 1 on Sunday.

He also wanted to give a shout out to the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa staff at the end of the interview. “I also want to thank the staff, it’s top notch here. Yi Li is one of the best in the business, and all of the dealers here and all of the floor staff are really high quality. We have a great staff in Hollywood, and this staff is very comparable and really quality as well. The way they are set up, and the way they are running these tournaments is quite commendable,” said Singh.
