Joe Orsino hung on just long enough to sneak his way in the money. Nursing a short stack from the start of hand-for-hand play, Orsino was down to 10,000 chips — less than two big blinds — when the bubble burst. He was fortunate to find a payday, but was the tournament’s first elimination busting in 54th place.
Players returned from break and quickly played down to 55 remaining after Jonathan Weiner’s was bested by Glen Ballenger’s all-in preflop. The runout came no help to either and Weiner bubbled the bubble.

With that, just 55 remained and only 54 paid. It took five rounds of hand-for-hand play before the bubble burst. On the final hand, an unknown player shoved 60,000 from the cutoff and Harmeet Singh called from the button.

Players are on their first break of the day with the clock showing 56 remaining. When they return, the big blind will be 6,000 putting the average stack at 30 big blinds. Only the top 54 players pay.
A total of 45 players have hit the rail over the course of nearly three levels of Day 2 play. Just 57 remain with only the top 54 finishing in the money. Stay tuned for details on the bubble play.

Steve Trizis was recently spotted busting yet another opponent holding versus . Trizis held the sevens and spiked a set on the turn to get the best of it.
A few hands later, an opponent had 43,500 at risk preflop and Trizis called.

After beginning the day as the short stack with just 14,000 chips and only four big blinds, Forrest Jahn scooped a few notable pots and now sits with 65,000 chips.
Blinds are up to 2,000/4,000 and while Jahn is far from deep, he’s a lot healthier than he was 40 minutes ago.
As recapped by the table, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa regular Steve Trizis picked up and dueled the of his opponent. The pair played a big pot, but didn’t get it in preflop. Trizis eventually hit quads while his opponent spiked a set. They got the last of Trizis’ stack in and Trizis doubled to kick off Day 2.
Day 2 of the WPTDeepStacks $350 is underway. The event saw 513 total entries make their way to Seminole Hard Rock Tampa over the course of 11am and 6pm flights on Monday and Tuesday. Following 14 Day 1 levels, the event is narrowed to the final 102 with only the top 54 paying. A min-cash earns $616 while the event’s champion is set to score $38,314 along with a guitar trophy.
A total of 11 players begin Day 2 with over 200,000 chips and it’s Aaron Martin who leads the pack with 296,500. Others still in include second in chips Justin Fawcett (274,000), Alexandru Ivan (255,000), Shawn Barneet (250,000) Herbert Woodbery (189,000) and Zoltan Czinkota (133,000). Seminole Hard Rock Tampa regulars Brandon Byars (120,500) and Steve Trizis (84,500) are also in.
