Milind Naik

After a long bubble, Armando Figueroa’s attempt to go wire-to-wire came to an end when he went out in 16th place. That left 15 players in Flight B and they move to Day 2 on Sunday at noon with Milind Naik bagging the overall lead.

Here’s how they finished in Flight B:

Championship Day 1B: Paul Snead Pulls Massive Pot

$1,700 TPC Championship (Re-Entry)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 12:  1,500/3,000 with a 3,000 ante
Flight B Players Remaining:  22 of 113

Paul Snead

Armando Figueroa opened the action from under the gun and the button player jammed for 135,000. Paul Snead shipped over the top for 148,000 from the big blind, and Figueroa thought for a minute. After confirming both counts, Figueroa called with both opponents covered.

Snead: KsKc
Figueroa: 8d4d
Button: AcQd

A huge pot, Snead was leading, but he had a lot of cards to sweat. The button player paired his queen on the Qs9d7h flop but that was as close as he got when the board finished with the 3h turn and 2h. Our 2022 TPC Champ scooped the huge pot and looks like the new leader.

Paul Snead – 435,000 (145 bb)
Armando Figueroa – 220,000 (73 bb)
