Chris DiBari won the fifth and final primary event of the 2016 WPTDeepStacks-Tampa series Sunday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. DiBari came out on top of a field of 142 entries in the $250 Turbo following a heads-up chop with Justin Matecki. Following the victory, DiBari owns seven tournament cashes totaling more than $36,000. His Sunday night performance marks his second tournament win and the crowning achievement in a young career as a professional poker player. He is 26 years old and resides in Palm City, Fla.

The 2016 WPTDeepStacks-Tampa series began Thursday, June 9 with a $570 buy-in, $200,000 guaranteed tournament. The event drew a massive, 698-entry field generating a $349,000 prize pool. From there, a $350 buy-in, $100,000 guarantee picked up the action. As expected, it drew a healthy field of 495 entries generating a $147,400 prize pool. In addition to a $300,000 guarantee, the finale, which played down alongside the $250 Turbo, is set to have a live streamed final table beginning Monday, June 20 at noon.

Justin Fawcett opened for 160,000 and Anthony Astarita called from the button. It was on Plamen Stoyanov in the small blind and he shoved for 235,000. Both Fawcett and Astarita called. They were three handed with Stoyanov at risk.

Flop: AcAsJs

Fawcett checked and Astarita moved all in. Fawcett folded and Astarita turned over JcJh for a flopped fullhouse. Stoyanov’s 5x5x was drawing very slim.

A turn 9d left Stoyanov drawing dead, but Astarita hits quads — the Jd — on the river just for good measure. Ployanov was eliminated 10th earning $6,815 and the final nine baggged and tagged set to return Monday at noon for the live streamed final table.
