Action checked to Pete W on a flop of 8s6h4c and he bet 5,000. Victor Pineiro (pictured), who had previously not wanted to tell us his name, check-called, as did Mike Tadlock.

All three players checked the 6d turn card and they saw the 9h fall on the river. Pineiro leads out for 9,000 and Tadlock folds. Pete W asks how much Pineiro has behind and then puts him all in for his remaining 16,700.

Pineiro calls and shows Ts7d7s2s, good for a straight, but is second best against Pete W’s 8h8d5c5s, good for a full house.

Pineiro will take home $612 for his 5th place finish.

Christy Pham limps under-the-gun and Phil Wasserman (pictured) limps behind her. Pete W completes the small blind and Jim Hagan checks the big blind.

The flop is Qd8h3s and Pham bets 9,600 after both blinds check. Wasserman calls and they are heads-up to the Jd turn card. Pham announces “pot,” Wasserman re-pots  and all the chips get in the middle.

Pham shows top set with QsQc8c2h and needs the board to pair against Wasserman’s JsTc9c5s.

The river is the 3h and Pham fills up to eliminate Wasserman on the bubble. Each player is now guaranteed $616. Pham basically doubles up to 123,000 in chips.

Greg C (pictured) bet 6,000 on a flop of Qs7d3s and was raised to 18,000 by Pete W. Greg C moves all in and is called by Pete W.

Greg C tables AsQhJhJs, good for top pair, and is up against Pete W’s KsJs9h7h, good for second pair and a flush draw.

The turn is the 8d and the river is the 7s, which fills Pete’s flush and knocks out Greg C in seventh place. Pete W is now up to 155,000 in chips. The remaining six players are now on the money bubble.

Tadlock Tops Greg C

Greg C bets 10,000 on the turn and is called by Mike Tadlock with the board reading Qs6s4d2c. The river is the 6h and both players checked.

Greg C shows K-K-7-5 with spades and Tadlock had him beat with A-A-7-5 with better spades.

Greg C slips to 45,000 while Tadlock climbs to 36,000.

Adam Santos Eliminated in 8th Place

Adam Santos raises to 3,000 and is called by Pete W. The flop comes Qc8s5s and Santos got the last of his money in the middle after a “pot” and “re-pot.”

Santos tables 7d7c6c6d and is up against Pete W’s AsKsJh8h. The turn is the Qh and the river is the 3h and Pete W scoops the pot with two pair.

Santos is eliminated while Pete W chips up to 104,000.
