Level 9 got underway just moments ago and registration is now closed in Flight A of the $570 buy-in, $200,000 guaranteed No Limit Hold’em tournament. The clock shows a total of 104 entries making up the field in the first of six starting flights in the WPTDeepStacks-Tampa opener. That figure puts the tournament on pace to draw a combined field of more than 600 and see its $200,000 guarantee exceeded by more than $100,000. In reality, those attendance and prize pool figures are likely quite under-exaggerated as the first flight typically draws one of the smaller fields.
Today’s Flight A schedule sees players bag and tag following Level 14. The event follows the Best Stack Forward format, so any participant unhappy with his or her holdings and can re-enter a subsequent flight.
