Tom Carey’s (pictured) step-son, TJ Cooper, won $1 million on a slot machine last December. Carey is trying to show that he can win some money gambling as well and is playing the second flight of this event.

Carey won’t be able to top his son’s $1 million score, but he can win a decent chunk of money with a deep run in this event thanks to the $50,000 guaranteed prizepool.  He is sitting with just over 20,000 as we hit the halfway point of the day.
