Event 4: Myong Han Eliminated 19th; Two Tables Remain

$150 Big Stack No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)
Level 21: 10,000/20,000/3,000

Eric Wert Treble

Eric Wert sits second in chips with two tables remaining. His rise toward the top came when he busted Myong Han 19th. The hand saw Han move all in from late position for 315,000. It folded to Hristos Tsironis in the small blind and he flatted. It was on Wert in the big blind and he moved all in for slightly more. Tsironis, who had both players covered, asked for a count and called.

Han held the best of it with pocket jacks against the TsTc of Wert and 7s7h of Tsironis. The flop came 9h6c6d, no help to any player. The turn fell the 8s giving Tsironis outs to a straight. The table erupted when the river came the Th improving Tsironis to a straight but giving Wert a fullhouse. Tsironis cheered in celebration before he realized he’d lost. The hand earned Wert a pot of more than 1,000,000 while Han busted 19th earning $351.

The aftermath of the hand can be seen above.
