Daniel Tirrell was second in chips when play ended, but had less than half of Bobby Sahgal’s chip lead.

Tirrell is a full time poker pro who used his WPT bucks earned during November’s cash game promotion to help defer the cost of the event.

“I usually play cash Saturday nights, so I figured why not (play),” says Tirrell who says this is his first Omaha tournament.

In addition to the $2,500 for second place, Tirrell also earned a $1650 seat into the WPT Regional Winter Tampa Bay Open Championship Event (Dec. 13-15).
