The first event of the first Tampa Signature Poker Series went big with a $400 Deep Stack with a $1,000,000 guarantee. The tournament drew 3,788 entries for the third biggest field in our history and they created a prize pool worth $1,250,040.

The tournament had 373 players advance to Day 2 in the money. A min-cash is worth $900 and the Event 1 champ will earn $163,290 plus the SPS trophy.

Nine players bagged twice during the starting flights; they will receive a min-cash for their smallest bag and play their biggest at the start of Day 2. The following players can go to the tournament information desk to collect their cash for the smaller bag: George Hortelano, Armando Figueroa, Sean Hardy, Byron Sisson, Traci Myhrum, Adedayo Fadeyi, Gabriel Fuller, Joseph Burns, and William Wood.
