The pace was snappy at the start of Day 2 and we’ve lost more than a table of players in the first few minutes. We also had some double ups along the way.

Cheri Beatty commented she needed a few doubles to start the day and she picked up the first one. She open-shoved for 32,500 from the small blind and Alex Ribeiro called in the big.

Beatty had the dominating hand and faded the over card on the 9c5s4hQd5h board for a double up.

On a nearby table, Alan Fink was all in for 30,500 with Ad4s and Derek Bowers had him at risk with the outkicked Ah2c. The likely chopped pot looked like it would go in Bowers favor after the 8d3s2d flop. The Qc turn changed nothing but Fink hit the gutshot wheel on the 5h river to double.

It wasn’t good news for Jeremiah Williams on Table 6. The former Day 1 big stack was all in for 36,000 and racing with AdJs against 7c7s. His opponent had the lead then virtually locked up the hand on the 7h5h4s flop. Williams had four wheel outs to double and four chop outs to stay in the game but blanked the river to exit.
