Level 7: 250/500/75
Flight F Entries: 153 (Total Entries: 727)

The weekend poker action drew 214 strong in the 11am flight and is off to another big start in tonight’s 6pm installment. With a sea of 156 entries filling the tournament floor, there’s a solid mix of pros, amateurs and Seminole Hard Rock Tampa regulars. For the second time this series, there’s a pair of defending champions jockeying for a Day 2 berth in the opener.

Anthony Astarita

Defending WPTDeepStacks-Tampa Main Event champion Anthony Astarita has been taking his shots in the nighttime flights thus far during the 2017 series. With a few entries already in, he’s hoping the final Flight F goes a bit better. Last year, he scored $130,000 defeating nearly 540 entries in the Championship, a $1,100 no limit hold’em tournament.

Karl Manouchakian

It was Karl Manouchakian who joined Astarita as a 2016 WPTDeepStacks-Tampa headliner. Manouchakian crushed the prelims, kicking it off with a runner-up finish in this very event last year. From there, he won the $350 version a few days later. In all, he won more than $60,000 and donned the Player of the Series title.

Both Astarita and Manouchakian have reserved their bullets for the evening flights this year. Both have also fired a few without being able to find a bag. Flight F marks their final chance to start the 2017 series right where they ended 2016’s.
