Day 1 of the WPTDeepStacks series was a success and we should see even more players take their shot at the opening event today. The first two flights combined to put 206 entries in the game getting the tournament more than halfway to the $200,000 Guarantee with four flights to go.

There were 40 players still around at the end of their flights and more will join them in the Day 2 field today.

The $570 buy-in tournament gives each entrant a 20,000 starting stack and first day levels last 30 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 around 3:30pm and they will play out 14 full levels. Those with chips at the time will return on Sunday at noon to play down to a champion.

Cards go in the air at 11am and we’ll bring you all the action.
