The end of the weekend is here and so is the first event on the WPTDeepStacks series schedule. The opening flights are complete and today all remaining players come together as one to play down to the Event 1 champion.

The tournament drew 797 entries across six starting flights to put $397,500 up for grabs today. There are 152 players returning today but only 100 of them will take home a piece of that prize pool.

Erik Morian grabbed the overall chip lead at the end of Flight B and no one was able to catch him the rest of way. Flight A chip leader Corey Major held on to the second spot and only 12 players return with a stack over 200,000.

Other Day 2 notables include Wally Maddah, Steve Trizis, Andra Zachow, Cheri Beatty, and 2016 WPTDeepStacks Main Event champ Anthony Astarita.

They will return to the poker room at noon for the restart and continue on through the day until we have one player holding the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa guitar trophy.
