Julio Novo

The opening event of the 2023 Tampa Poker Classic made some waves this year with 1,705 entries over six starting flights making this the biggest starter for any of the series we’ve run in the Poker Room.

Thank you.

We had 173 bags advance to Day 2 in the money but one player will cash as soon as he gets here. Billy McPhillips was not happy with the 14,000 he bagged and did better in Flight F. He will receive a $740 min-cash for his smaller bag and play his bigger.

Julio Novo leads the return and he has a big stack of credits to his name, including 24 recorded tournament wins and he finished runner-up in this tournament during the 2022 Pinktober Poker Open.

Cards go back in the air at noon with them all in the money and they will play down to a winner this evening.

Top ten returning stacks:

  1. Julio Novo – 1,049,000 (175 bb)
  2. Riley O’Brien – 909,000 (152 bb)
