Day 4 Complete

Day 4 of the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open was all about the $155 No Limit Hold’em event with a $50,000 guaranteed prizepool.

The first flight got cards in the air at 11 am, which saw 97 players come out and play. Those 97 players were widdled down to just 14 after play ended earlier than expected because the tournament staff did not want to play down to less than 14% of the field. Play stopped nine minutes into level 12 and all subsequent flights will play down to that same point in the structure.

Garrett Topping led the way in the first flight, bagging 163,000 in chips.

The second flight got underway at 7 pm and 137 players showed up to take their shot at a first place title. 137 players, which brought the total field size to 234 and generated a prizepool of $29,250 so far. The 137 players soon turned into just 23 by the time the bags came out.

Oscar Lindo led the way in the second flight as he bagged 177,600 in chips.

On Tuesday, there will be another two flights going off for this event. The third flight will get cards in the air at 11 am and the fourth and final flight for the event gets underway at 7 pm.

The survivors of all four flights will be back on Wednesday afternoon at 2 pm to play down to a winner.
