Championship: Siddiqui Doubles, Bunkley Eliminated 22nd ($4,213)

$1,650 Winter Poker Open Championship
Level 21: 6,000/12,000/2,000 Ante

Sheddy double

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Ambassador Sheddy Siddiqui is one of the tournament’s big stacks following a collision between his KcKh and Antuan Bunkley’s QcQd.

An early-position player opened and Sheddy three-bet. It folded to Bunkley in the small blind and he jammed. The remaining players in the hand folded and Siddiqui called. He was the at-risk player.

Siddiqui: KcKh
Bunkley: QcQd

The runout came no sweat — Js9s9d8s7s. Siddiqui’s stack was counted down to 501,000 leaving Bunkley as one of the shortest stacks in the tournament. He would bust 22nd at the hands of T.K. Miles a few hands later when his Ah9c was bested by Miles’ QdQc.

Siddiqui, meanwhile, sits with about 1,030,000 chips.
