Derek Bowers, who once was a lock to bag the chip lead, has hit some speed bumps of late. Bowers’ once mighty stack now sits at about 160,000 — still one of the biggest in the room, but a long way from the 235,000 he had following the last break.

As Bowers’ stack shrunk, it appears his opponents’ grew. It’s unclear whether the two events are related, but four players at Bowers’ table claim stacks greater than 100,000.
