The 2025 Tampa Poker Classic Championship drew 396 entries over three starting flights for a very nice prize pool worth $394,000. We had 52 players advance to Day 2 and they return at noon to begin playing down to our Champ.

Mitchell Bosch bagged the biggest stack in the last flight to lead the return with Aaron Speer, Zak Fellows, Sam Cunix, and Hassan Hakim rounding out the top five.

The long bubble grind and extra break and more levels ended with Mitchell Bosch taking care of the business of getting them in the money with 26 remaining.

He also put the biggest stack in a bag and will lead the Day 2 return with 974,000. Zak Fellows (697,000), Sam Cunix (679,000), Drew Dodge (648,000) and Sanjay Dulabh (619,000) also went big and will have an advantage coming back tomorrow.

Players returned to their seats after what should be the last break of the night (even though we jinxed it last night). We have 47 players remaining, 26 will advance to Day 2, and a few big stacks are emerging.

Zak Fellows leads the shrinking field with 420,000 and Sean Hampson is not far behind with 416,000. Sam Cunix has 345,000 and Ashley Spring is up there with 327,000.

The field shrank quickly after registration closed, but they definitely pumped the breaks as the bubble neared and stacks got much deeper.

A few friends still in contention include Ashley Spring, John Two Bears, Manny Minaya, Karl Manouchakian, Ryan Hogan, Drew Dodge and a host of others.

Spring might be the chip leader, we will look closer during the upcoming break.
