Armando Figueroa, 2024 PPO Event 1 champion

The 2024 Pinktober Poker Open kicked off the series with a $250 No-Limit Hold’em tournament with seven flights and a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament drew 936 entries and Armando Figueroa took the top spot outright for $32,100.

The tournament created a prize pool worth $187,200, and the last 118 were paid, including Tony March and David Lee, who collected two payouts thanks to the best-stack-forward format.

With no money bubble to sweat, the field quickly played down and was one elimination away from the final table when they took a dinner break. Of the ten players remaining, Figueroa and Steven Sinclair were far and away leading and they were the last two standing at the end.

After a back-and-forth battle featuring a big comeback from Figueroa, he took the series’ first title along with the Pinktober Poker Open trophy.
