$570/$300K: Heading South for the Winter Poker Open

$570 Deep Stack NLH Re-Entry

Level 1: 100/100
Flight C Entries: 56 (Total Entries: 260)

Now through December 17th, some of the biggest poker prize pools in the country will be up for grabs right here at the Seminole Hard Rock. Pair that with an upcoming weather forecast of sunny and mid-70s and traveling to Tampa for the Winter Poker Open starts to look quite appealing.

Wisconin’s Jason Mitchell is among those who traveled to Tampa for the Winter Poker Open

One player that made the trek south from his home state of Wisconsin is Jason Mitchell. Mitchell arrived in town Wednesday and warmed up on the cash tables before getting in the tournament game for today’s Flight C.

Mitchell’s tournament resume is light as of late, but he’s found the winner’s circle twice at a small property outside of Green Bay. His journey to another poker W is back underway here in Flight C and we’ll keep an eye on his progress throughout the day.

Play was already a couple minutes into break when Al Krux’s opponent lead an AhQh5cTc board. Krux raised, the opponent shoved and Krux promptly called.
