Players returned from dinner and we have some familiar faces at the top of the counts. Karl Manouchakian in the big stack in the room after dinner with 177,000 and Herbert Woodbery is not far behind with 168,000.

They have six more levels to try and catch those two or surpass overall chip leader Anthony Astarita.

John Gorsuch

More players are coming to town to play the Super Stacks Main Event and we found John Gorsuch in the field for the first time. The 2019 WSOP Millionaire Maker winner is technically the defending champion going into the series this fall. There hasn’t been one since so he keeps that title for a little while longer.

Flight C will continue through Level 8 then enjoy a 40-minute dinner break.

Main Event Day 1C: Back from Break with New Milestone

Players returned to their seats after the second break looking at a bigger prize pool. We have 125 entries so far today to put the combined total at 270 for the tournament. That pushed the prize pool over $400,000 and a fantastic way to close the series.

Janice Hulbert is the latest to spin up a big stack. She is rolled up to 105,000 for a double starting stack in the early stages of the day. It’s not the chip lead yet but it’s close.

We hit 112 entries at the start of Level 6 to leave us only 10 away from the next milestone.

The entry count hit 100 at the start of Level 5, that alone is good enough to hit the $150,000 guarantee, Another 22 entries and the prize pool will hit $400,000 for the Main Event.

As expected with a Saturday flight, we are seeing a lot of familiar faces including Bradley Grossman, Chanthy Phoursakanh, Nick Palma, Maurice Hawkins, Karl Manouchakian, and Wally Maddah.

Players returned to their seats after the first break with 94 entries and more expected throughout the day. They doubled the $150,000 guarantee early in the day with more than $350,000 currently up for grabs.

There were no huge monster stacks found during the break with no one getting a full double. Jim Farnsworth is the early chip leader with 90,400 with Anthony Pellegrini also sitting nicely with 82,500.

Main Event Day 1C: Last Flight

Two flights are down and today we have the last chance to advance for the Super Stacks $1,700 Main Event. Flight C gets underway at 10 am and we expect a big crowd with the prize pool already over $200,000.

Players start with 50,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes going up to 60 on Day 2 and 90 after Level 22. Late registration is available until the start of Day 2 on Sunday at noon and players may re-enter as often as needed.

Flight C will continue into the evening and any still around at the point will bag up their chips for Day 2.
