Rodney Turvin, 2024 SPS Event 14 champ
The last warmup before the SPS Championship was Event 14, with a $700 buy-in and $100,000 guarantee. The tournament drew 334 entries to more than double the guarantee, and Rodney Turvin won the trophy after a heads-up deal with Mariano Rodriguez.
Turvin was the chip leader when they decided to split the remaining prize money evenly. He earned the top spot along with $35,275 plus the SPS trophy.

The preliminaries are (mostly) locked up and today we roll out the biggest game on the schedule with the 2024 Signature Poker Series Championship. Flight A gets underway at noon with a $2,500 buy-in and $500,000 guarantee, a slow structure and plenty of chips.
Players start with 40,000 in their stacks and all levels last 60 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 on Sunday at 1:15 pm. Each flight will play eight full levels and survivors will return for Day 2.

After Juan Reyes was eliminated in third place, Rodney Turvin and Mariano Rodriguez reached a deal to divide the remaining prize pool right down the middle. Turvin took home the trophy and title thanks to his chip lead and both earned $35,275.
