The last warmup before the SPS Championship was Event 14, with a $700 buy-in and $100,000 guarantee. The tournament drew 334 entries to more than double the guarantee, and Rodney Turvin won the trophy after a heads-up deal with Mariano Rodriguez.
Turvin was the chip leader when they decided to split the remaining prize money evenly. He earned the top spot along with $35,275 plus the SPS trophy.
