Thomas Kornechuk leads the Day 2 return
The opening event on the Tampa Signature Poker Series schedule drew a huge 1,655-entry crowd for the $400 buy-in tournament, the second-biggest field we’ve had in the Poker Room, and they turned the $250,000 guarantee into a prize pool over $500,000.
We have 206 players returning this morning at 11 am and they are already in the money with $86K awaiting the winner. Two players are in the money twice with Curtis King and Phillip Krnyaich bagging two times; they will receive a $580 min-cash for their smallest stack and play their biggest.
Thomas Kornechuk leads the return with Jahann Bardia, Robert Georato, Victor Nissim, and Randy Raji rounding out the top five.
Action will fly at the start with smaller stacks trying to spin them up or get a payout ticket. They will play 30-minute levels until they get to Level 20 when they increase to 40 minutes for the rest of the tournament.
