Bill Isbell
A walk among the tables during the second break found a couple of big stacks but one stood out. Tampa Poker regular Bill Isbell’s stack is always easy to find, one of the few in the room who stack in 10s instead of 20s. His was spread in front and counted out for a total of 293,000 for a clear lead.
Brenda Lyons looks like the second biggest with 179,200 with several others teasing 200K.

Flight B will continue into the evening until only eight players remain to advance to Day 2 tomorrow at noon. We will post the official payout information later this evening once the Day 2 numbers are locked in.

Tony March
Event 5 employs a “best stack forward” rule which allows players to bag Flight A and try again in Flight B. If they manage to make it both days, they will receive a min-cash for the smallest bag and play their bigger stack tomorrow for Day 2.
We had five players advance yesterday and Tony March was one of them. Not satisfied with his 93,500 stack for Day 2, he is back this afternoon trying to spin it up and make some more money for his Pay It Backward Foundation.

We have some friends back in the field for the first time including Ken O’Donnell, Jeff Trudeau, and Al Gomez.

Jack Ranallo
With six players remaining and five advancing, it took a little time to get in the money. They made it most of the way through Level 15 with a few all-ins but no calls.
Then there was a three-way pot with the board reading . Jack Ranallo checked from the small blind, Joseph Parris bet 17,000 from the cutoff, the button called, and Jack Ranallo check/raised to 50,000. Parrish called, the button moved all in for 174,000 total and Ranallo called.
Ranallo: Button:
Both flopped trip jacks but the button had kicker issues with his ten. The turn and river finished the board to put the last five players in the money and on to Day 2.
Flight A counts:
Jack Ranallo – 638,500
Karl Manouchakain – 395,500
Joseph Parrish – 226,500
Walt Rossi – 116,000
Tony March – 93,500

Cards are back in the air after (what should be) the last break of the day. We have eight players remaining, five advancing, and Jack Ranallo way out front.
He sits with 572,000 in his stack, good enough for 39% of the 1,470,000 chips in play today.
