Event 4 Flight B: Reaching for the Guarantee

The second and final flight of the $700 DeepStack Challenge gets underway at the top of the hour and the first goal is to make the $50,000 guarantee. Only 33 more are needed so we’re pretty confident it will get there.

Players start with 30K in their stacks and all levels last 40 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 at 7:45 pm. Plenty of time to get in the game.

The third break ended and players returned with registration closed for the first of two flights of the $700 DeepStack Challenge. They put nearly $30K toward the $50,000 guarantee and only 33 needed in tomorrow’s flight.

Play will continue until seven players remain and they will advance to Day 2 on Wednesday. We will post the chip counts later this evening.

The $700 DeepStack Challenge is sending its Flight A players on their second break with 44 entries and more than halfway to the $50,000 guarantee. Players have until 7:45 pm to register today, plenty of time to get here after work, and another flight tomorrow.

A few friends in the field include Karl Manouchakian, Dessiree Bennett, John Dolan, Steve Ekin, Tony March, Jeff Morzella, Nick Scholz, Tarun Gulati, Jasmine Gittens, Anthony Bertuccio, Mike Ahmad, and John Tyler Kennedy.

Bennett is coming off a great series in Hollywood, cashing three times, including a $50K win in the $1,100 Platinum Stack event.

The TPC Championship is a few days away, and today, we start a nice warmup for that big game. The first of two flights for the $700 DeepStack Challenge gets underway at 1 pm with a slow structure and plenty of time to get here.

Players start with huge 30K stacks and all levels last 40 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 at 7:45 pm.

Play will continue until 12.5% of the field remains and survivors return on Wednesday at 1 pm for Day 2.

Ken O’Donnell, 2025 WPO Event 4 champ

Event 4 was the perfect warmup for the WPO Championship, the $700 DeepStack Challenge drew 216 entries to crush the $50,000 guarantee. After a tough final table battle, Ken O’Donnell earned his third career Tampa title with an outright win for $30,190.

The final three in the tournament featured WSOP bracelets and Circuit rings and two-time Tampa Main Event champ TK Miles. A great setup for our headlining tournament and congrats to Ken for taking home another trophy.
